The lady that wouldn't let us be, insisting on telling us how wonderful this school was, has inadvertently brought bullies from my daughter's old school to her new one. I've heard about it non-stop. Now my daughter is getting detention; when I asked what happened, she had taken the blame for a friend's actions even though she hadn't done anything wrong. That shows respect and honor - I'm so proud of her! Unfortunately, due to overcrowding we can't transfer her elsewhere.

If I could, I would give this school zero stars. Their academics, administration, and military-style teaching are all major letdowns. They seem to answer to no one and put the safety of the students at risk. Complaints are hidden or ignored; talking in line can lead to punishment but bullying goes unpunished. I made a 30-minute drive in order for my children to get an education here - something that is not their top priority - as there is no school nurse and medical aid doesn't arrive until two hours into school. It's reprehensible! There are a few teachers and staff who care about the kids but the administration makes it hard for them to help out or even stay employed in this building. With six weeks left of school I have no choice but keep my kids here; however, we will not be back next year. To ensure my children's safety I'll be present at the building until its end of term.

Enrolling your child in this school would be a waste of time. There is no nurse present, and the school will contact you for even minor issues. It is likely that the positive reviews are written by members of the staff themselves.

The owner and director are incredibly involved. Their staff works hard to improve daily, striving to challenge the children. They grant open access to the parents which is a great feature, though they are small in size they aspire to expand. Family oriented atmosphere that can be busy at times; however, all efforts are made to assist every parent. Unfortunately, there is one male teacher who has an unkind demeanor towards students of an older age.

My granddaughter is a student at HPA and she loves it! The school is wonderful and they take great care of their children. They push their students to excel in both academics and athletics.
