This school is honestly a nightmare for many. The low achieving students arent able to get the exact learning they need, and are disregarded easily. Some students rather find peace with their friend groups, yet some feel threatened by others. I for one am a student who feels threatened. I had been in close rivalry with another student, and I had even told the school. They did nothing about it, and I told them how I was indeed close to place a restraining order against the other. The only thing that happened, was the other student was moved maybe a few seats away from me. Though, the school can be amazing at times as well. It can be a rather safe place, having few amazing teachers. Mr.Costa, Mrs.Costa, and Ms.Wilson are three amazing teachers who actually make me want to go to school instead of switching. :(

This school is kind of a mixed bag. There are some ABSOLUTELY amazing teachers, and some that just give me chills thinking about. Though it is still the best school in Tuscon.

This school cares nothing about your student if they are in the bottom quartile. They will say they do everything but , they dont do enough. The smart kids get all the attention when they dont need it and, the challenged kids get left to fail and repeat grades.Dont EVER go to this school. The new administration is awful!!

I would give this school a 3 star.Even though it isnt that good, it isnt that bad either. The moniters are great, love the principal and vice-principal, but some of the teachers I dont like at all.One of them, specifically a L.A teacher, is NOT a good teacher. She takes things all too seriously, giving a no-stamp for simply losing your name card? I wouldve at least THOUGHT she remembered our names after like, two weeks. But, when you lose it the second day, you should be given at least, ONE more chance before getting a no-stamp. Not Oh this doesnt follow the program stuff, at least ONE more chance, because some students have very terrible things going on with their lives that cause them to either forget something, not eat correctly, etc.So, good school, somewhat. Replace some of the teachers.Oh, yeah, that same teacher Im talking about, is racist and sexist. Hire better people Desert Sky, you need better teachers.
