My 6-year-old daughter has been having difficulty with her stomach, and this school has been the worst experience. At the beginning of the year, after she had gone on leave, there were four or more replacements that did not pass along my child's issues. The newest teacher took my child's problem as a lack of my part. After various phone calls, the principal reassured me that I should have no worries; however, two months later the teacher filed a CPS complaint against me claiming I was an unfit parent for raising four kids alone and that I had no time for her; additionally informing my daughter that I could not buy her proper shoes and would never call when requested. When finally spoke to the principal again he said he would not change her teacher and she was not an asset to the school so it was best to withdraw her--now leaving six weeks left with no one willing to enroll her.

The A+ sign in front of Richardson Elementary School has been a fixture for over two decades, and I'm grateful that my time there in 1995 instilled a love of learning in me. The teachers and staff deserve recognition for their efforts. Long may they continue!
