The school's administration is unprofessional, undertrained, and incapable of dealing with families or disciplining faculty. The crossing guard is rude, ineffectual and even risky for the students because of her language barrier. She habitually stands in the middle of the street, causing traffic congestion and obstructing parents who are attempting to pick up their children. My sister had to park at the crosswalk, get out of her car and go meet with her child, only to almost get into a physical altercation with the crossing guard. Bullying and inappropriate touching have been reported but not dealt with correctly. A child fell off playground equipment resulting in two knocked-out front teeth but nobody took them to a nurse nor did they contact their mother! Overall, this school has an unacceptable level of safety issues so beware!!

I have two children at this school and it's a pleasant experience. Although, I don't agree with the opinion that there's zero tolerance for bullying; it was dealt with when I raised my concerns. My eldest, who is now in fourth grade, was being bullied while in kindergarten – I spoke to the principal and they resolved it quickly. The bully ended up being expelled some weeks later. My other child had an issue with a boy grabbing her and throwing her to the ground; after I mentioned this to the principal they suspended him immediately and he never bothered her afterwards. Class sizes aren't too big here either – my oldest has only ever been in one class of 25 students, all other classes have fewer people in them than that.

At this school, victims have zero tolerance; there is no tolerance for bullying. To our shock, the principal labeled my daughter a "tattle-tale" in our presence. After that conversation with him, she began to be reprimanded for all sorts of matters. If finances allowed, I would move my children to another institution immediately. We plan on relocating as soon as possible.

Coyote Ridge Elementary School has been amazing for my three children; they have attended from first to seventh grade. I had moved away, but now am returning with my kids and enrolling them in the school again. My daughter went from a second-grade level in third grade to the appropriate sixth-grade level due to the excellent staff and students. I owe the school a big thank you for all they have done!
