I, being a picky and protective parent, have had my children attend D.P. for the last 3 years and I cannot agree with most reviews. The office staff has been nothing but polite, and the majority of teachers/staff that I've encountered have been great too. Though my oldest has mentioned a few incidents on the playground, overall I'm satisfied with the school's standards. Keep up the good work Firebirds!

Desert Palms Elementary was not fair with things nor did they help the kids.

D.P. is an excellent school, with a terrific PTSA, great teachers, an outstanding principal and office staff who are very involved and attentive; my child insists on eating the cafeteria food every single day! Therefore, any other reviews should be disregarded as simply being that of "haters". The school is not "ghetto" in any way - it's fantastic!

Parents with children seeking a positive learning environment should NOT send them to this school. It is extremely ghetto, with drug dealing, fights, subpar teachers and appalling food. Your kid would likely pick up bad habits such as cursing. Does anyone really want their child to attend this school? The answer is NO.
