My children attend this school and we are very pleased with it. They emphasize learning, which has enabled my kids to do well and develop great educational practices for the future. Although there are no fun days such as crazy hair or pajama day, activities like carnivals and track & field still take place. The staff is extremely competent, friendly, helpful and intelligent; every time I'm there they make me feel welcome. This academy is tough but great - you need to be an involved parent in your child's education though. I would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking a good school; additionally, I want to say that despite us not being Mormon, we never felt discriminated against here (just in case this is a concern). more ... hide ...

This individual was exceptionally loving, even-tempered and devoted (notably given that our kid is high strung with certain special needs). Similarly, the former principal was marvelous. On the other hand, this year's experience has been different and we are not pleased about the curriculum being altered without warning. The current principal appears to be knowledgeable, committed, affable and professional. Though it's still too early to tell what effect these changes will have on our child's learning experience, we remain hopeful. more ... hide ...

5 stars are definitely deserved by my son's teachers, however, lice has been found on him 3 times. The principal said that it is no longer protocol to check for it in the school. I completely agree with being responsible as a parent and checking frequently - but if they see any signs of itching they should investigate and inform parents of an outbreak. My son is a Math Master and was informed today that neither he nor those who have accomplished Blue Zone or Attendance will be honored at the assembly. What type of message are we sending to our children? That they are good, but not good enough to be acknowledged. I'm so angry I can barely contain it. In my opinion, deciding which areas should and should not be recognized is a form of discrimination. more ... hide ...
