This school is a great example of a well-run establishment in an area that has had difficulty providing good quality education. To be transparent, I am also an educator at the district's High School and I am extremely proud of our high standards. The elementary school is a charter school that works with EDISA (Examining Data to Improve Student Achievement) for professional development which enables teachers to offer Differentiated Instruction for all students. I have been attending Tucson Country Day School since pre-school and I really enjoy it. My teachers are fantastic, they make learning fun and encouraging. Although we have to work hard, it has taught me how to be organiz I have been attending Tucson Country Day School since pre-school and I really enjoy it. My teachers are fantastic, they make learning fun and encouraging. Although we have to work hard, it has taught me how to be organized and prioritize tasks which helps significantly with my schoolwork. Now that I'm in middle school, I'm involved in Student Council, Drama Club, STEM club and they're all amazing! Additionally, I am fortunate enough to have made many great friends who also attend the school; making me a proud Tucson Country Day School Champion! more ... hide ...

It has been over a year of me trying to get in touch with someone from Special Ed, and the school has made it difficult. The lady at the front desk hung up on me numerous times. The lady at the front desk hung up on me numerous times. I have interacted with Kayla from enrollment both in person and by phone, but she promised that the vice principal would call me and yet here I am still waiting. This demonstrates how they don't value special ed children as much; my daughter got into the school quickly while my son is being overlooked. My sister-in-law spoke highly of La Paloma, but their actions prove otherwise. more ... hide ...

At first, I was unsure if Bloom Elementary was the right school for us, but as time went on I noticed how much my son enjoyed it and how much he had learned in such a short period of time. Now at the start of his second At first, I was unsure if Bloom Elementary was the right school for us, but as time went on I noticed how much my son enjoyed it and how much he had learned in such a short period of time. Now at the start of his second year there, the only thing that could make it better is if they improved their communication - specifically with regards to the supplies needed for school. It would be great to have an idea of what we need a month before so that we can be more prepared and not have to shop with last minute lists. Additionally, on the first day there were issues with TUSD Transportation buses which caused some parents (myself included) worry and stress when they couldn't get in contact with anyone or find out what had happened to their kids. Thankfully, Bloom's principal got on board and made sure every child got home safe. All things considered, I'm very pleased with this school; it's clean, friendly and clearly cares about how my son fares educationally speaking! When communication is improved then I'll rate 5 stars - until then 4 will do! more ... hide ...
